  • Nazar v. Lesley J. Balderson, Case No. CL 19-1600 (Chesterfield Circuit Court, January 29, 2020) (The Complaint alleges that Lesley Balderson, a home flipper, covered up water intrusion, water damage, mold by installing wall panels over moldy drywall, installing new carpet, and trying to exclude the plaintiffs and their realtor from the property before closing. Defendant's demurrer, plea in bar and motion craving oyer were denied and plaintiff's motion to compel was granted in part.).

  • Davis v. Simmons, et al., Case No. CL 18-229 (Greenville County Circuit Court, November 20, 2019) (Defendants' plea in bar and demurrer were overruled and the Court ruled that client stated a cause of action for defamation that was not barred by claim preclusion based upon his grievance. In a prior grievance handled by Robert Allen, the plaintiff's termination was reversed and he was reinstated as a Department of Corrections employee).

  • Hains v. Adams, Case No. 3:19-cv-504 (E.D. Va. Nov. 12, 2019) (memorandum opinion denying Defendant's motion to dismiss and allowing client's claims under the Store Communications Act, Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, and Virginia Computer Crimes Act to proceed.).

  • Garrett v. Department of Corrections, Case No. CL 18-6006 (City of Richmond Circuit Court, April 5, 2019) (in a grievance appeal, the Court held that it had authority to hear a newly raised constitutional argument that the drug testing policy of the Department of Corrections was unconstitutional and the matter was remanded to the hearing officer for further proceedings).

  • Bumgarner v. Fischer, Case No. CL 18-4351 (City of Richmond Circuit Court, January 17, 2019) (client stated claims for tortious interference with contract expectancies and abusive malicious abuse of process).

  • ABBA Incorporated, et al. v. Chesapeake Partners, LLC, et al., Case No. CL 17-6163 (City of Richmond Circuit Court, October 15, 2018) (defense verdict with regard to a complaint containing five contract and tort claims arising out of a commercial lease and successful prosecution of counterclaims resulting in an award of damages and attorneys' fees for client).

  • Blue v. Estate, (Hanover County February 1, 2017) (successful defense verdict in a legal malpractice case alleging damages in the amount of $500,000)   

  • Finamore v. Trent, Case No. CL15-000881 (City of Lynchburg Cir. Ct. Oct. 27, 2017) (the case is believed to be the first opinion from a Virginia circuit court holding that regional jail authorities are not entitled to sovereign immunity)

  • Faulkner v. Thompson, et al., Case No. CL16-64 (Richmond County June 8, 2017) (obtained a dismissal of a counterclaim in a real estate dispute that ultimately settled).

  • Eley v. Allen, Case No. 3:16cv00842 (E.D. Va. Feb. 7, 2017), 2017 WL 510447 (denying a motion to dismiss claims for a Fourth Amendment violations and malicious prosecutions arising from hit and run charges where witnesses reported to an officer that plaintiffs switched seats after a motor vehicle accident.)

  • SunTrust Mortgage, Inc. v. Key Mortgage Services, Inc., 2013 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 159235 (E.D. Va., Nov. 6, 2013) (obtained a favorable ruling on a motion to dismiss claims for indemnification.)

  • Langmaid v. Lee, 2013 Va. Cir. LEXIS 1 (Northumberland 2013) (obtained a favorable ruling for a client in a case involving the sale of a historic home, waterfront property and allegations of fraud.)

  • Jakabcin v. Town of Front Royal, 271 Va. 660, 628 SE2d 319 (Va. Sup. Ct. 2006) (representation of a group of residents in a case of first impression under the State and Local Government Conflict of Interest Act which invalidated a land use permit for a Wal-Mart Supercenter that the residents opposed.)
